To celebrate the centenary of the First World War and the millions of poppies produced over the years, James Cropper PLC approached us to install an exhibition at the CBI in London. This installation would run for 30 days, and as well as covering poppy production and paper manufacturing we captured an overview of all James Cropper PLC’s main business arms.
Using high quality stretched fabric prints, we created large backdrops to set the scene and display images and company information. A huge visual timeline was created that spanned the main wall of the CBI members lounge. In front of this we installed an interactive information point and a clear acrylic plinth which was filled with cups and cup waste. James Cropper are the only paper company able to recycle this waste and separate the paper and plastic.
We managed to obtain a full roll of the paper used to make the poppies and created a custom plinth to hold this securely and raise it off the floor. The unrolled paper was then shaped and glued to create some fluid movement to the display.
